Sofinco is a French consumer credit institution, part of the Crédit Agricole Group, offering personal loans, revolving credit, and payment solutions.

I was hired as a Product Designer consultant for an early-stage engagement to contribute to the design of Sofinco’s first native mobile application, at a time when the product existed only as a web platform. The goal was to support the translation of existing services into a clear, secure, and user-friendly mobile experience, adapted to everyday financial needs.

The project focused on structuring complex financial information, navigating regulatory constraints, and laying the foundations for a reassuring, mobile-first banking experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Contributed to the UX and UI design of the mobile app (iOS & Android), from user flows to high-fidelity screens.

• Helped define core features such as onboarding & consent, authentication, account overview, credits, cards, operations, and alerts.

• Adapted existing web journeys to mobile, simplifying complex financial workflows for smaller screens.

• Collaborated closely with another Product Designer and two Product Managers to align user needs, business constraints, and MVP scope.

• Ensured alignment with Sofinco’s brand guidelines and existing digital ecosystem.

Outcome

This work contributed to the foundations of a cohesive mobile application, supporting a secure and intuitive experience for managing financial products on the go, and helping shape a scalable base for future product evolution.

This case study reflects my contributions during an early consulting phase. The final product was developed collaboratively over time by a broader team.
